Seed Sisters is excited to present Gatherings, a group exhibition at Dr. Neil’s Garden in Edinburgh, Scotland, from August 9-15, 2025.

Each artist will present several works that engage with nature and the idea of accumulation, togetherness, community and connectedness, as the title implies. Many of our motifs make reference  to present and historical landscapes, plants as representational and symbolic, and  language as a cultural pinpoint. Media will include painting, fiber, mixed media, printmaking, and paper.

The ‘Tower’ located within the garden has become integral to the garden itself. As an exhibition space its intimate hexagonal interior allows each artist their individual wall space in which to communicate their own response to the garden whilst the images quietly communicate with one another.

‘Gatherings’ is the second exhibition by Seed Sisters in Edinburgh.

Three of the artists will be present on the 9th August 2025 for the artist reception.

Makiko Berry will be represented through her art works.

Being an international collective has its own challenges, mostly on a practical level and as such we made an agreement to keep our works relatively small. As such, all works in this exhibition are 30 x 30 cm in size.
